TAPE MONITOR AND DUBBING SWITCHING
Designed to compliment either Dayton Wright Model SPS or Model SPL Preampl if ier, the SG Mark 2 Graphic Equalizer is the ideal unit to use where Frequency Alterations must be made. With Left and Right Channels adjustable separately, the eight controls per channel allow smooth ring free compensation to be made on less than ideal source material.
* Bessel derived 3rd order Scratch filter permits reduction in surface or tape noise with minumal loss of transient response. * 24 db/octave Rumble Filter allows antennuation of subsonic noise without unnecessary interference with the frequency response in the remaining pass band.
The unit has unusually flexible switching and patching provisions. There are switches allowing the equalizer to be used: With the preamplifier - modifying the preamp output. With tape dubbing - being inserted between the output of tape recorder one and the input of tape recorder two. With either of two auxiliary stereo channels - these are brought out on the top of the case with RCA type phono sockets, as well as on the front of the case with Phones type stereo connector Jacks ( as is tape two).
The unit can be used to monitor either tape recorder one or tape recorder two, and cross dubbing can be accomplished either way.
The sliders have a center detent, and are separate for left and right channels.
The slider center frequencies are:
45 Hz, 100 Hz, 225 Hz, 500 Hz, 1150 Hz, 2500 Hz, 6000 Hz, & 13,500 Hz.
The panel is finished in black anodizing, with white lettering and is
6% " high by 13 inches long. The unit extends approximately 10" behind
the panel, fitting an opening 61/4" x 12 1/2"
